Like many critics, I was mesmerized by Robert Eggers’ debut film, The Witch. Back in 2016, I called it “a thinking man’s horror film … one of the best films of this genre to come in years.”. In that same vein, the trailer for Eggers’ follow-up has dropped and gives a very strong Lovecraftian horror vibe by way of Herman Melville. Check out the trailer below.
