When it comes down to seminal Batman stories of the past decade, it doesn’t get more iconic than Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee’s seminal Hush storyline running through the BATMAN monthly comic book where Batman faced all his most iconic enemies in service of a new villain known as Hush. Now, DC Animation is producing an animated adaptation of the storyline as part of its interconnected universe. Check out the trailer and synopsis below. The release date is listed as late summer 2019, so I would expect this to debut as DC’s yearly animated screening event at San Diego Comic Con in July.

An adaptation of the seminal DC classic tale, Batman: Hush centers on a shadowy new villain known only as Hush, who uses Gotham’s Rogues Gallery to destroy Batman’s crime-fighting career, as well as Bruce Wayne’s personal life – which has already been complicated by a relationship with Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman. Coming late summer 2019.
